My granddaughter is Ashley
And I call her “angel wings”
She’s the apple of my eye
And the reason that I sing.
Her enthusiasm is a treasure
That surrounds me night and day
Her laughter is the sun
That daily lights the way.
Her love when she sees me
Turns my world around
Her voice like an orchestra
Serenades me with beautiful sound.
She touches me like an angel
Her love a gift to my soul
And as long as God gives me life
Her presence within me is gold.

You didn’t arrive with gift-wrap and bows
Instead you arrived in Mother Nature’s attire
Complete with ten little fingers, and ten little toes.
Your Gender determined by the Powers of Heaven, and
He created you are for us, the perfect selection.
Additionally as Parents, we undeniably have imperfections.
From the second you were born, you became an integral part of our life
Love of family developed into a major component, forming a connection
Of devoted love and affection.
You have inspired in us unlimited pride, undoubtedly visible in your achievements acquired.
From infancy to adult you have made our life complete and fulfilling,
Assembling a life of adequate significance desired.
We’ve gained far more from you, than we ever gave.
Lots of Memories are etched in our minds, plus additional
Memories of the future to continually engrave.

For as long as I can remember
you were always by my side to give
me support to give me confidence
to give me help
For as long as I can remember
you were always the person
I looked up to so strong
so sensitive so pretty
For as long as I can remember
and still today you are
everything a mother should be…
For as long as I can remember
you always provided stability
within our family full of laughter
full of tears full of love
Whatever I have become is because of you
and I thank you forever for our relationship.

Family Ties Are precious things
Woven through the years,
of laughter, love and tears.
Family ties are cherished things
forged in childhood days,
by love of parents deep and true,
by tradition, by family ways.
Family ties are treasured things
and far though we may roam,
the tender bonds with those we love
still pull our hearts toward home.

1 year
Mama.
4 years
I want my Mamma.
7 years
I need to ask my mommmy first.
12 years
My Mother is so uncool.
17 years
Naturally Mother doesn’t understand.
21 years
Mom is so out of touch What would you expect?
30 years
A little patience….Maybe Mom will have a good idea.
35 years I’ll call Mom and see what she
thinks about it.
Mom is really a lot of help.
40 years
Maybe Mom and I could do that together.
50 years
I wonder what Mom
would have thought about it.
60 years
I wish I could talk it over with Mom
once more.
